Abstract
Join us for a compelling presentation on the power of alumni events in fostering recovery and combating overdose stigma within the community. In this session, we will explore innovative approaches to designing and executing alumni events that promote awareness, support, and empowerment in the fight against overdose.
About the LB Burkhalter
Laura Beth Burkhalter is the Director of Business Development for Red Rock Recovery Center in Lakewood and Morrison, Colorado. LB currently sits on the TPAS (Treatment Professionals in Alumni Services) Board of Directors, is a Certified Narcan Administration Trainer, and Recovery Coach. Additionally, LB is a founding board member of Colorado Artists in Recovery and passionately believes in creating recovery community through arts and inclusivity, decreasing stigma and supporting sober safe spaces within the LGBTQ+ community.
LB is a human in long term recovery who celebrated 7 years of sobriety in November 2022. LB is also the Founder and Executive Director of her own company, Recovered Humans Recovery Homes – Recovery Homes for Women in Northern Colorado.
