Casey Hyatt is the Coordinator of Alumni Services at Cumberland Heights Foundation in Nashville, TN, where he has worked for eight years. Over the course of his tenure, Casey has held various roles, but his proudest achievement has been leading the development of the innovative Recovery Care Advocate role. He brings over a decade of experience as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist, which has profoundly shaped his approach to advocacy, community engagement, and self-directed recovery support.
Before joining Cumberland Heights, Casey worked at The Ranch as a Step Coach and Experiential Therapist, where he deepened his understanding of holistic approaches to addiction recovery. Currently, he is in his fourth semester at Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School, pursuing a master’s degree in Addiction Counseling with a focus on co-occurring disorders.
Casey describes himself as a “gatherer by trade” and is deeply passionate about bringing together individuals in the recovery community. He has worked diligently alongside several mentors including Katheryn Benson, Karen Moran, Randal Lea, and Jay Crosson. Casey continues to build meaningful connections that foster healing and growth within the community.
In addition to his work at Cumberland Heights, Casey proudly serves on the board of Treatment Professionals in Alumni Services (TPAS) as Co-President. His leadership in this capacity allows him to collaborate with other industry professionals to advance alumni services and create lasting impact in the field of addiction recovery.
